Decided to head south one day for my nightly walk and noticed that the Michigan Ave lift bridge was up. Headed over quickly and got to see my second lake freighter since I arrived in Buffalo. I've always been more interested in trains and boats than trucks since they are more efficient at moving large quantities. After waiting for the Herbert C Jackson of the Interlake Steamship Company to clear the bridge, I quickly made my way to the Ohio Street lift bridge just in time to see the freighter approach. The Jackson finally docked in Elevator Alley at the ADM facility. It's kind of sad how much this country has declined industrially in the last 50 years. Even the working ADM plant is not in the best shape these days.
